I always felt like something was missing when I looked down at my phone, until I came across a phone chain adorned with a glass gourd on an old street. The stall owner said, “The gourd brings blessings and a sense of security.” Only then did I realize that everyday objects hold people’s most simple aspirations for life.
During my travels, I’ve seen countless small accessories that capture the essence of each region: silver butterflies from Miao villages, koi tassels from Suzhou, the Wenchang Pagoda in Jingdezhen… They’re like stories that speak volumes, yet they’re hard to find in cities—either manufactured on assembly lines or as overpriced “cultural and creative” products.
I’ve always been drawn to the beautiful imagery of Chinese style. Feng Shui is the ancient wisdom of coexisting with nature. Luck is hidden in jade Pixiu, red string bracelets, and Five Emperors coins—they’re the foundation of life. These cultural symbols shouldn’t be confined to ancient texts; they should become part of everyday small joys.
So I wanted to open a shop to bring together these ingenious products scattered across the globe. I wanted each phone chain to have its own unique twist, and each Feng Shui accessory to carry a sincere blessing. We’re not driven by traffic, but by the desire to connect more people with the feeling that “this item understands me”—a Wenchang pen for students, a small copper gourd for office workers, a peace locket for friends—each holds a unique meaning.
Our original aspiration in opening this shop was to be a “transmitter of beauty,” allowing these objects to connect tradition and the present, allowing people to experience the thoughtfulness embedded in the details and the gentle power that life should possess.
